If you've worked with RSMF files generated by various tools and vendors, you might have noticed that they can be a little idiosyncratic, with different decisions about how to use the email header fields, date and text formatting, and attachment naming.

Those differences can result in technically valid RSMF files, but the actual reviewer and processing experience might vary.

For our own convenience at Elemental Discovery, we've built a browser based RSMF viewer that can be used to:

  • Preview the message content.
  • Validate the rsmf_manifest.json file.
  • Examine the email header and body text used by processing tools.

It's available here for public usage. All data remains in your browser (the application will work offline once loaded into your browser).

The viewer has saved me a lot of time fiddling with zip files and text editors when examining RSMF files.
